Tomorrow night at The Mothlight, New York punk rockers Diet Cig will bring their poppy brand of songwriting to the West Asheville stage. Openers Great Grandpa and The Spook School are there to join in on the fun too. This well-rounded bill of performances guarantees a night of punk rock blessings for you and whoever comes with.

Diet Cig was founded back in 2014 by Alex Luciano and Noah Bowman. They released their first EP Over Easy in February of the following year. Since then, they’ve been bringing good vibes and sad songs to the world. Their on-stage chemistry is charming and they’re sure to leave you with ringing ears and a full heart.

Opener Great Grandpa hails from Seattle, WA and have honed in on how to make perfect slacker rock. The five-piece ensemble knows how to have a good time and their collectively cool attitude transfers to their music. Their debut album Plastic Cough dropped last year and put them on the radar of anybody who is a fan of a fun grungy time.

The Spook School are the other openers of the evening and come to us all the way from Edinburgh, Scotland. Their classically indie rock sound explores gender, sexuality, and queer issues. Their third album Could It Be Different? just came out in January of this year, so get ready for some freshness.
